The neighboring cities of Laurel and Beltsville created an activity center where seniors can gather for creative classes, community events and friendship. Ellenburg + Shaffer created this multi colored ribbon design to celebrate the joy that is part of the everyday life of visitors at the senior center. Five inch thick fused glass columns were made by layering and hand painting sheets of clear and colored glasses. The custom base is made of stainless steel.
